Project Archived
The upstream repository was archived in June 2026 and development was shut down indefinitely. Existing releases remain useful only on their documented firmware ranges; future Pixel updates can change hooked classes and are not expected to receive compatibility fixes.

Requirements
- A Google Pixel running the exact stock firmware generation supported by the selected release.
- Magisk 25.0 or newer, KernelSU, or KernelSU Next.
- A working Zygisk implementation and LSPosed; upstream recommends the JingMatrix LSPosed fork on Android 14 and newer.
- A complete backup and a reliable method to disable modules if System UI cannot start.
Installation
- Confirm the device, stock firmware build, root framework, Zygisk runtime, and LSPosed version against the selected PixelXpert release.
- KernelSU and KernelSU Next users must disable the manager's default module-unmount option before the first installation, as warned by upstream.
- Install the matching PixelXpert ZIP from the modules page of the supported root manager and follow any volume-key prompts.
- Reboot, grant root access to PixelXpert if the manager did not do so automatically, then confirm that the LSPosed module and required scopes are active.
- Open the PixelXpert app and enable a small number of changes at a time.
The installer places the companion APK as a privileged system application and attempts to enable appropriate LSPosed scopes for Android framework, System UI, Pixel Launcher, Dialer, and other supported packages. Automatic activation can vary by LSPosed and root-manager version, so inspect the manager before assuming every scope was applied.
Update and Recovery Risk
PixelXpert hooks internal classes that can move between monthly firmware releases. Disable it before installing an unsupported OTA, and do not restore an old configuration blindly on a different branch. If System UI repeatedly crashes, disable the PixelXpert and LSPosed modules from the available recovery mechanism before troubleshooting individual options.
