ADB & Fastboot for Android NDK by osm0sis and Surge1223 puts static adb and fastboot binaries on your phone, compiled with the Android NDK. Android stopped shipping adb in /system/bin back in Marshmallow; this gives you both tools again from any terminal app.
What gets installed
- Static builds of adb and fastboot for
arm,arm64andarmeabi; the installer picks the one that matches your device. - They go to
/system/xbin, systemlessly when Magisk (or the old SuperSU) is present. - A small wrapper sets the correct
HOMEdirectory for adb and setsTMPDIR, so the tools behave properly outside a desktop shell.
That's handy when you want to run adb or fastboot commands from the phone itself, for example against a second device on a USB OTG cable.
Installation
- Flash
UPDATE-adb.Installer.v1.0.41-signed.zipin Magisk. It's also a regular recovery zip. - Reboot.
- Open a terminal and run
adb versionorfastboot --versionto check.
